Inspirational Fashion

Dear Universe,

As you know I am always in search of inspiration.  As you also know, I like to shop (hey, at least I’m honest!)

This is why I get so excited when I see two of my favorite things combined.  I think I’ll call it inspirational fashion.  (I know, I know…I’m so creative).

I remember last year when this phenomenon first struck a chord with me.  It was a dark time and I kept repeating the phrase over and over, “I just want a little hope.”  I repeated it everywhere I was: in the car, at yoga and yes, even at the mall as I was looking for a gift for a friend.  That’s when I saw this shirt.

I laughed out loud.  Sometimes Universe, you are so literal.

I walked around some more and another shirt caught my eye.

It turned out both shirts were for charity and that a portion of the proceeds were donated to The Starlight Organization, which helps brighten the lives of seriously ill children.  http://www.starlight.org/

The inspirational messages became even more powerful to me and I bought both shirts; I wear them all the time.

Right around then my mom bought me this water bottle as a gift.  She said, “It made me think of you.”  (Yes, even a water bottle can be a fashion statement!)

The message:  “Cherish the journey… The Universe knows.”  Love it and use it so much, the paint is starting to chip.

There’s inspiration everywhere.  Now I am starting to see jewelry with meaning.  I’m a fan.  Here’s a sampling of pieces that have popped up these last couple of days.

I have to say I’m especially a fan of Alisa Michelle’s jewelry.  http://www.alisamichelle.com/    I’m pretty much obsessed with everything on this site!

Carrying a water bottle or wearing something, whether it’s a t-shirt, a bracelet or a small charm can be a gentle reminder throughout your day to stay focused on the positive.  It can also inspire those around you to do the same.

Thank you for the beautiful messages.  Seeing them truly makes a difference in my day.  Keep them coming!

With Gratitude,

A
