Karma, Karma, Karma Chameleon…

Angie Intentions, Karma Leave a Comment

Dear Universe,

The other day I received an email with this picture attached.

Now there are a few things I believe in for sure and one of them is karma.  I’m not sure I believe in sneezing-into-chicken-cabbage-salad-karma though, because, in my opinion, that sort of defeats the whole purpose.

The way I see it, believing in karma means you let things go when something “bad” happens to you.  It doesn’t mean you forget, but it does mean you forgive.  Then let go.  Really let it go.

It’s one of the hardest things in the world to do.

But…

Let go and let karma handle the rest.  What goes around truly does have a way of coming back around.  I’ve seen (and experienced) karma working its wonders time and again.  Sometimes it’s bad karma you have coming your way—like when you steal someone’s homemade chicken cabbage salad (really no good can come from this) or maybe you’ve done something worse.

On the flip side, sometimes you have amazing karma coming your way.

I don’t think anyone wakes up saying, “Today, I will steal someone’s chicken cabbage salad.”  I want to believe most people have positive thoughts and every intention to carry them out.  So do that.  With sincerity, patience, love and kindness.  When you give greatness, greatness returns.

Guaranteed.  Sometimes it’s in the most unexpected ways.

So… Act as though each day you are given a clean karma slate.  It’s a chance to reevaluate, a fresh start to put good out there—to loved ones, friends, colleagues, strangers.  Put your best self forward and genuinely wish the best for others.  Treat people the way you hope to be treated.  It’s that simple.

But don’t be a karma chameleon—pretending to be someone you’re not or only doing good because you hope it will somehow serve you well.

And don’t sneeze on your food.

Thank you for the reminder that sometimes it’s best to let things go, big or small, and to focus on more positive things.  Thank you for magical way karma works things out.

Much Gratitude,

A
