best yet

“The best is yet to come and babe, won’t that be fine?
You think you’ve seen the sun, but you ain’t seen it shine…
You think you’ve flown before
But baby, you ain’t left the ground

~Frank Sinatra

Dear Universe,

In the last week or so, a few messages keep popping up wherever I go.

The first one came when I opened a Happy New Year card from one of my closest friends.  It was one of those picture-collage cards that displayed photographs of his two adorable sons on it.  Around the smiling faces was a message that made me smile.  The card simply stated, “The Best is Yet to Come.”

I liked that.  I’ve always liked that quote, but it felt so fitting with the new year starting.

From there, I saw those same words in various forms.

Then I noticed something else.

I realized this is the Year of the Horse.  I knew I would have to look into what that means!

I also saw that this is the first time in nineteen years that the New Year started on a New Moon; it has only happened twelve times in the last 300 years!  It also happened to be a supermoon, which means the moon appears larger than normal, since it’s closer to Earth.

All of these things seemed like auspicious signs.  I had to investigate and clearly, I had my favorite kind of work cut out for me!  I love learning new, inspiring information to feed my soul.

Here’s what I found!

chinese1The year of the horse:  A compassionate and kind-hearted year ahead filled with thrills, high energy, fast victories, surprising adventures, unexpected romance, quick actions and decisions.

After reading this, I think it makes my fortune cookie message even more relevant!

New Year New Moon in Capricorn:  An intense, new energy.  A time for cleansing, purging, shifting, letting go.  Things that have felt stuck may have the power to transform.  Any manifestations or desires we intend for the year ahead are especially powerful.

Take what you will from both of these things.  I like that so far all signs point to this year being positive, transformative and powerful.

2014, I have a good feeling about you.  In fact, I think we’re going to be friends.

I’m going to believe that the best is yet to come.

Won’t that be fine?

With Gratitude,

A
