“Your daydreams can be glimpses into your future, as long as you believe them to be.”

Dear Universe,

When I was a little girl, my mom designed jewelry.

Not many people knew this as she did it as a side job to being a full-time, stay at home mom to three children.  For the years she stayed home we kept her busy and exhausted, but somehow she found time on the side to create her own jewelry line and sell it to the world.

As a little girl I thought nothing of this—except that I thought her jewelry was beautiful and I wanted to wear it all.

I can’t begin to describe how fitting this line of work was to my mom.  My mom was—and still is—the most glamorous, fashionable woman I know.  Even as a kid I somehow sensed that my mom stood out in a crowd—whether that was the check-out line at the grocery store, the pick-up line in the school parking lot or the streets of New York City during a weekend away.

Whether we were out and about or staying at home, my mom always looked ready for a high-end fashion shoot.  Her hair was perfectly curled.  Her make-up was applied with the precision of an artist.  Her clothes were fashionable and stylish.  And jewelry?  That was the staple to top it all off.

So it made sense that she would create and sell her own designs of jewelry and of course in my mind, it was just as gorgeous as her.

I loved any chance I got to be around the freshly made pieces.  My brothers and I sometimes helped package and ship out her brochures or package and ship out orders of jewelry.

Eventually, we got a little older and my mom went to work full-time at my father’s office and she stopped making jewelry.  We never really talked about it.

Fast forward decades later…

When I first started writing this blog I had an idea I would someday sell jewelry as another way to spread inspiration to the world.  I had no idea how or when this would happen, but as with most ideas rooted in our souls, I believed someday it would sprout and come alive.

And five years and 322 posts later, I’m so excited to announce that this dream has happened and is ready to be shared with all of you!

It has taken over a year of designing, waiting, approving, testing, working and writing, but it wasn’t until I was at the factory looking at the first samples of my designs that I remembered why this all felt so familiar.

My mother used to do this.

I don’t know why it hadn’t hit me before—not even in all the conversations I had with my mom about my jewelry line (that’s exciting to write—my jewelry line!)  But when it finally hit me, the idea felt even more like kismet.

Even though our jewelry is not the same in any way, I love the idea that I am somehow carrying on a tradition.

Just like the pieces I used to admire as a little girl, I knew that if I were to have a jewelry line it would have to be beautiful enough for me to wear.

And above all else, it would have to inspire whoever was seeing or wearing it.

I think I’ve accomplished both those things, and I hope you will too.

My line is starting with seven necklaces that can be layered together and each comes with a “Dear Universe” letter for you to read and set your intention for the day.  On the back of the letter is a mantra and breathing exercise that you can repeat to remind yourself of your deepest wish.

All of the writing and designs are created by me.  And I’m happy to say all of the necklaces are produced in the state I grew up in—Rhode Island—just like my mother’s were.

I hope they offer you a sense of hope when you see and wear them.  I hope they remind you to live a mindful life, one that fills your day with positive and happy intentions.

Most of all, I hope you always remember that no matter what designs and mantras you pick, it all starts with the decision to:

Choose Love

I hope you’ll check out my store and let me know what you think!

With an Abundance of Gratitude,
