“May you live all the days of your life.” ~Jonathan Swift
Dear Universe,
Today is my birthday! Whoo hoo!
The first thing I did today when I woke up, even before I rolled out of bed to make a much needed coffee, was to check my horoscope apps on my phone.
Yes, I said apps. One can never have too many resources when it comes to figuring out what’s in store for the day, week or month ahead.
Trust me on this!
I find different apps offer me different things. One is great for giving me an overview of the day and the energies I may encounter. Another is useful for predicting matters of the heart. And another is written in a cut-to-the-chase-tell-you-like-it-is manner—which I appreciate.
Depending on what is happening in my life, I go through different levels of horoscope reading. During particularly tricky or challenging times, scanning my horoscopes is a never-miss-morning routine. In calmer periods, I tend to forget to check altogether.
Today, I decided that I would take the best from all the horoscopes I read and make a mash-up of what I liked most.
Hey, it’s my birthday! I can have a fabricated, one-of-a-kind horoscope if I want to! And for all my fellow Capy’s out there, here you go:
A sudden inspiration clears your mental fog and lets you see things much more clearly. Take advantage of this, as it might not last for much longer than a day or two. Spend time mapping out your 2014 budget and organizing everything from your weekly menu to your social schedule. A little more predictability brings peace of mind—and makes it easier for you to let go, guilt-free during playtime. Don’t allow worries or a feeling of being overwhelmed slow you down. Once you’re satisfied, take some time to relax and be sure to pat yourself on the back for all of the little things you’ve managed to get done. The energy emanating from the planets makes you very popular right now. Your charm enables you to make new friends and long lasting relationships. Relish and celebrate what you have become. This is who you are meant to be. Now make the most of it.
Sounds good, right? I think today looks rather promising.
Thank you, Universe for another year. Life is a gift, a present we often take for granted. I try to remember that each day when I wake up, but birthdays can be especially reflective. I know people often fret about turning another year older, but today I just want embrace it and focus on how blessed I am.
Because with each passing year, I just realize more and more how very fortunate I am.
Much, Much Birthday Gratitude,
A
