Elation! I finally found a good cup of tea and scones. I can’t take all the credit. No, my British obsession and high tea hopes have caught on to all those around me. Was I being that obvious?
The place: Alice’s Tea Cup, New York City.
The tea: So many to choose from, but I went with the chocolate chai.
The scones: Still drooling. Delicious, warm, fresh, the real deal. Pumpkin and Chocolate Strawberry.
To thank: My family that tipped me off and took me.
The ambiance: Adorable. Based off of Alice in Wonderland the setting was fantastical.
The icing on the cake: A group of British mothers and daughters sitting next to us…. I practically joined the table the second I heard the accents.
The kicker: Coming back home and hearing from a friend that she went to high tea at the other place I had gone too. Her experience? Dismal. I didn’t want to say anything about my outing.
I will be returning as soon as I can.
Thank you for my cuppa tea.
Cheers,
A
