“You can’t wait for inspiration. You have to go after it…” ~Jack London
Dear Universe,
Now I know that I am what I call an inspiration seeker, someone who is constantly searching for the positive in everyday, ordinary experiences. So I also know that means I am more likely to notice the signs than someone else who may not be looking.
But lately, I have been seeing so much inspiration, that I am starting to wonder… is this just a me thing? Have I gotten so good at manifesting and law-of-attracting and recognizing the positive signs that they’re appearing more and more for me? Or is it simply becoming something that is impossible for anyone to miss?
I hope it’s the latter. Because who doesn’t need a little more inspiration in life?
It started earlier in the week when I went to Barnes & Noble to purchase a new planner for 2014. The one I have been buying for the last several years was nowhere to be found. I admit, this threw me into a little of a tailspin. I am not a fan of change, especially when it comes to my daily calendar!
After a few minutes, I stopped pouting and started perusing. What I found excited me!
Inspirational planners! Yes, that’s right. Planners with uplifting quotes and images to brighten the months and days ahead for 2014. It’s funny because when I would buy my planner I would fill out inspiring quotes throughout the pages to read during the year. Now someone had done it for me!
As I debated which planner suited me best, I wandered over to the journal section, knowing that soon I would need a new one. Once again I was excited by what I saw!
Journals embossed with beautiful, inspirational covers. How’s an inspiration addict to choose?
I couldn’t.
Then two days ago, as I did some final Christmas shopping, I wandered into a store and discovered a whole wall of inspiring message boards. I remember years ago, when these were a novelty. Now pretty much any catchy, cute or creative phrase you can think of has been made into a decorative piece of art for your home or office.
I wonder if more and more people are drawn to the inspiration too and that’s why there seems to be an abundance of it. Maybe we recognize the need to be surrounded by encouraging phrases or signs of hope. Maybe we know that somehow, these little things—no matter how insignificant they seem—can make a positive, happy difference in our days, our moods, our outlooks.
I don’t know the answer, but I do know I like it. I like that more and more I see positives calling out to me.
Thank you for all the inspiring, uplifting messages that are popping up everywhere. I’ll keep looking and Universe, I hope you keep delivering. 🙂
With Gratitude,
A
